Stanly County Panthers destroy Thomasville 56-12

On a beautiful, overcast night in downtown Albemarle, Webb Field saw the renewal of a long-standing high school gridiron rivalry in the semi-pro ranks of the Central Carolina Football League when the Thomasville Titans visited the Stanly County Panthers.

For many of the team's members that played at Albemarle, it was another chance to earn a football victory against familiar opponents in the long-standing rivalry between the two high schools.

This round in the semi-pro ranks went to the Stanly County Panthers convincingly with a 56-12 win over Thomasville.

The game featured the return to the football field of former Albemarle and N.C. State standout T.A. McLendon, who rushed for three touchdowns Saturday.
